The photocopier is one of the more basic pieces of office equipment and is prone to all manner of errors and mysterious paper jams. How much easier it would be to be able to handle all your photocopying direct from your PC.

Well, now that’s a reality thanks to SoftCopier.
SoftCopier 3 User Interface
SoftCopier 3 Specifications If you have a TWAIN compatible scanner hooked up to your PC it allows you to do black and white, greyscale or colour copying direct from your computer (always assuming you have a colour printer)

It’s really easy to use; all you do is put whatever you want to copy onto your scanner and press the green “Start Copying” button. Then it automatically scans the document and sends it to your selected printer or fax depending on which option you’ve chosen.

The process isn’t as instantaneous as traditional photocopying as you have to wait for your scanner to acquire your documents or images, then hang on while they’re sent to be printed.

This whole process took about a minute for one page of text with our scanner and laser printer. But it does mean you can handle all your copying and faxing without leaving your desk, and if you have a colour printer you can benefit from both traditional and multicoloured copying.
You can make up to 99 copies at one time and it handles all the collating at the press of a button. You can also zoom in on documents and adjust contrast and paper size for both the scan and the final printed output from A3 down to Letter. If you are working on a network it will support multiple printers so you can choose where to output your copies.
SoftCopier provides you with a cheap, simple way to handle all your photocopying direct from your PC.
