With the days of free text messaging from your PC
becoming numbered, why not install this program which makes text messaging
simple.
SoftMessage is a free
application from Buzzsoft that allows you to send text messages to mobile
phones from the comfort of your PC - no need to fiddle around with the keypad
on your mobile phone anymore.
Sending the text messages isn't free, but they will only cost
you 11.75 pence each. Messages are pre-paid for in blocks of 50, 100, 200 or
500 using your credit card, and there is no time limit on when you can use this
credit. |
All your contacts can be stored
in the built-in address book, or alternatively the phone number can be directly
entered into the text message screen. All phone numbers must be entered with
their international code (+44 in UK) attached.
Like all text
messages you are limited to 160 characters, although you do have another 20
characters to inform the recipient who the message is from.
You
will, of course, need to be connected to the internet to send text messages, so
just make sure you only connect when you are ready to send the text message.
