SoftCopier

John and Sue have set up a new business and need a photocopier. They looked at the range of photocopiers available and decided that colour copies as well as black & white would be extremely useful but a colour photocopier would cost them over £1000. A friend recommended they use their scanner together with SoftCopier so they contacted BuzzSoft’s website (www.buzzsoft.com) and downloaded SoftCopier 4. They decided it was ideal for their needs of black & white and colour photocopies to their printer, fax and email as well as coping with about 25 different paper sizes.

David enjoys cooking and likes to browse cookery magazines. While visiting his friend Sophie he sees a recipe in her magazine that he would like to try out at home. He asks Sophie if he can take a photocopy of the recipe using her scanner and SoftCopier program. David can then take the recipe home to try and Sophie can continue to read her magazine.

Anne is studying for her GCSE’s and needs to complete her geography project. In order to complete her notes she needs some additional information. She borrows a book from a friend which has the relevant information and takes it home. She uses SoftCopier to photocopy the necessary parts of the book and returns the book to her friend the next morning.

Chris is a lawyer and spends some of his time working from home. Part of his work requires studying legal documents. To do this he needs to photocopy documents to make notes on. He has a scanner and has SoftCopier 2 and therefore can make the photocopies he requires at home and then get straight on with his work.

Kevin is 10 years old and is mad about football. In his latest magazine he sees a picture of his favourite football hero. He would like a poster of his hero and using SoftCopier he takes a colour photocopy and enlarges the picture from A4 to A3 to stick on his bedroom wall.

Having just returned from holiday Jim, Tanya and the children have their photos developed and decide to send some to the children’s grandparents. Using SoftCopier they quickly photocopy the photos and send them to their family members asking them to choose which ones they would like to have developed as final photos.


SoftCardManager

Robert is regularly given business cards and needs to find a way of keeping them tidy and easy to refer to. A colleague recommends SoftCardManager as being a good solution to his problem. Robert goes to the BuzzSoft website (www.buzzsoft.com) and downloads a trial version of SoftCardManager to see how it works. He finds it very easy to use and decides to download the full version of the program from the website. He wants to pay BuzzSoft by cheque and clicks the cheque box so that he has 30 days to send in the cheque as payment for the software.

SoftBulkEmail

Rosemary now recognises the opportunity to send information to her customer base by email but wants to send personalised messages similar to the letters she used to send by using Mail Merge. By using SoftBulkEmail she is able to compose a standard email with fields, then build a database and merge the email and the database together. This enables her to send the personalised emails she wants and makes huge savings on paper, envelopes, postage and time.

David Rose is involved with the Blue Bell charity which provides after hospital care for sick children. In order to fund the charity he needs to raise £150,000 per year. He does this by organising a range of events - fun runs, fetes and requesting for charitable donations. However the biggest cost is sending letters to the database of contacts he has developed. He notices that 70% of those who respond to him have email addresses so he decides to send his next mailing to those in his database by email where possible. The cost and time saving is huge and the response is identical to normal post.

Terry is organising a marathon and the enquiry forms he has received back from a running magazine have included a lot of email addresses. He decides to use SoftBulkEmail to email the participants with the price of entering the marathon with the dates and times of the race. Each participant receives a personalised email with all the details of the race and Terry saves a lot of money and time.

SoftPostCard

Sue and Max both work for the same company but work in offices 300 miles apart. They have been asked to do a leaflet promoting products and services of the company. While trying to select the right pictures to include in the leaflet they use SoftPostCard to type comments and views next to a selection of pictures. Sue receives the pictures and message from Max through her browser and prints off the page to take to her manager to make the final decision on what pictures should be used for the leaflet.

Ted has recently moved offices and is contacted by a client who wants to come and see him. The client does not know where to find Ted’s new office as it is difficult to find. Ted opens his SoftPostCard program and scans in a map of the area as well as typing a message giving further directions to his client. He then presses send. The client receives the directions through his browser and prints off the map on one piece of paper to take with him on the journey.

At the weekend Jane and her friend Gary decide to take their children for a picnic in the country. Gary takes some photos with his new camera. When they are developed there is a lovely photo of his children and he decides to send a copy to his brother in Canada, his sister in France and his mother in the south of England. Using SoftPostCard he scans the photo, types a message to them telling them about their day out and other family news and then presses send. His family in the various places are able to view the picture and the message by clicking on their browser and can then print it off on one page.
