How to use SoftPostCard

Starting End-User Personal Details Via the Menu Select Start Select Programs Select BuzzSoft Select SoftPostCard Select the End-user Personal Details icon. Via SoftOffice If SoftOffice is running the toolbar will display the End-user Personal Details icon. Click on it and End-user Personal Details will start.

Using End-user Personal Details You will be asked to fill in the following details: My Name - Enter your full name Company - Enter your Company name if applicable Email Address - Enter your valid email address Mobile Number - Enter mobile number if applicable Server Document Path - Not required for SoftPostCard SMTP Host - Enter your SMTP Host Dial Prefix - Enter the number required for an outside line if applicable

Using SoftPostCard PostCard Image/Video/Sound clip The area to the bottom left of the Window enables you to view or listen to the image/audio clip. You can select it in one of three ways (if the image is larger than the viewing area, it can be dragged around using the left mouse button). a) Select the Open button and Browse to the file you want. The image will be displayed. If it is a video or sound clip then "player" controls will be presented so that you can listen to and/or watch it. BMP, GIF, JPG, TIF, PCX, PNG, PCD, WMF, TGA, AVI, WAV format files are all supported. These files will be converted for viewing on the Internet automatically when they are sent. The original will not be altered in any way. b) Select the Scan button. The scanner will start its scanning dialogue window. Use it to scan the image you want to send. It is advisable to use a resolution of 72dpi or less as anything greater than this will take longer to download. The selected image will be converted and sent with the PostCard. c) It may be easier to put the Image/Video/Sound clip on the Internet before you send the PostCard. Especially if your are sending the same card to several people and if the file is large (e.g.. Video). The "Http" button enables you to define within the PostCard the location on the Internet of the file and also to apply a "Hint/Message" to it together with a link to somewhere else on the Internet, i.e.. when the PostCard is received and viewed in a Browser the Image can be clicked on to take the recipient somewhere else. Great for promotional material. The recipient can receive a picture of the promotional item and then click on it to get full details. Write your message Add the text for the PostCard in the "Message" box. This text can be Cut and Pasted from another Windows application. The Message can be of unlimited length. Send your PostCard Click the "Send PostCard" button. If you are not connected to the Internet, Windows will automatically start the connection process. Once connected the PostCard will start sending.
