Starting SoftMailCheck
Via the Menu
- Select Start
- Select Programs
- Select BuzzSoft
- Select SoftMailCheck
- Select the SoftMailCheck icon.
Via SoftOffice
If SoftOffice is installed the toolbar will
display the SoftMailCheck icon. Click on it and
SoftMailCheck will start. |

Setting Up Your Email (POP3) Account
To setup SoftMailCheck with your incoming email
account details please follow these steps:
- Click on the "Configure email
account(s)" button to open the Configuration Window.
- Enter a name for your email account (i.e..
David's Emails) into the Internet Service Provider list.
- Press the TAB key on your keyboard when
finished.
- Click on the POP3
Server field and enter the POP3 server used by your Internet Service
Provider (ISP).
- Enter the email account Login name.
- Enter your email account password. Your
password will be hidden from view as you type.
- Click on the "Add New Entry"
button to insert your new email account.
- Click on the "Exit Configuration"
button to Exit the Configuration Window.

Removing An Email Account
An email account can be removed by the following
steps:
- Click on the "Configure email
account(s)" button on the SoftMailCheck main window.
- Select an Internet Service Provider from the
drop-down list and press the TAB key on your keyboard.
- Click on the "Delete current
entry" button to delete the email account.
- Click on the "Exit
configuration" button to exit the Configuration Window.

Adding To A List
- Click on either the "Approve List"
button or the "Delete List" button in the Configuration Window to
open the corresponding list window.
- Enter an email address into the Filter Email
Address field.
- Click on the "Add New Entry" button
to add the entry.
- Click on the "Exit configuration"
button to exit and save your additions to the list.

Removing An Email Address From A List
- Click on either the "Approve List"
button or the "Delete List" button in the Configuration Window to
open the corresponding list window.
- Click on the arrow on the Emails to be
filtered field.
- Select an Email address from the
drop-down list.
- Click on the "Delete current entry"
button to remove the entry.
- Click on the "Exit configuration"
button to exit and save your additions to the list.

Starting An Email Check
- Select the email account that you wish to
check from the drop-down list.
- Click on the Check Emails button (or use
Alt C).
- The connecting window will now be
displayed.
- Once connected a progress bar will appear
detailing the number of emails waiting to be checked.
- Once finished statistics will appear in the
main windows statistics panel.
- Next time you open your Email software only
the Emails you have approved will be displayed.

Adding An Email Address During Checking
Whilst SoftMailCheck is performing an email check
there could be some emails waiting that do not appear in the Approve or Delete
lists. You will be prompted when this occurs and you can add the email to the
approve or delete list as required. The panel will appear showing the emails
details.
Select the list that you wish to add the email to
by clicking on the appropriate button. You will then be asked if you wish to
add the email address to the selected list permanently. Selecting No will mean
that the email will only be Approved/Deleted this time only. If the email
address is found again this prompt will re-appear. |
