Error writing to LPT-1

Symptoms Error message appears - Error writing to LPT1     Solution   This is due to the scanner not releasing the parallel port quickly enough after a scan. To overcome this problem:- Click on Windows START button. Select Settings. Select Printers. Over the printer icon click once with the right mouse button and select PAUSE PRINTING. Start SoftCopier and perform all scanning. Once you have completed all scanning remove PAUSE PRINTING by repeating the above.
